Altaworx was founded in 2003 by Rickie Richey as Enterprise Telephony Group, Inc., to address the emerging demand for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) business telephone systems. His vision was to build a company that not only provided leading-edge technology but also focused on helping customers drive revenue, control expenses, increase productivity and operate more efficiently. To maximize impact, Altaworx became a member of the BellSouth Business Partner Program (now AT&T Alliance Channel). Positive customer impact and superior sales performance led Altaworx to be named a Gold Partner.
Recognizing the potential of AT&T’s Partner Exchange program, Altaworx was the first company to join the program in 2013. Today, the program generates revenue of $60 billion and continues to grow. As a member of AT&T’s Partner Exchange, Altaworx is able to purchase and resell AT&T IP voice, data and mobility products. Altaworx bundles these products with its Hosted PBX and SIP trunking solutions.
AT&T’s Partner Exchange enables Altaworx to extend its reach to a wider variety of customers, including government, education and medical organizations. Altaworx has thrived in this program. In 2014, Altaworx received the Platinum Ascend Award for being one of the top producers in the AT&T’s Partner Exchange program. In 2016, Altaworx became the first partner to reach Platinum Elite Status.
Today, Altaworx operates its cloud-based voice solutions from two AT&T data centers located in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA. The company has expanded its footprint across the country and now serves customers in thirty-five states, Canada, and Mexico.
